“Emily Ellet is the consummate pro - an absolute rock star of a mentor/coach. As we crept through the dark days of Covid lockdowns and explored different ways of sharing the work of our students, I asked Emily to coach three of my students (via Zoom) for an on-line musical showcase.
Emily jumped in enthusiastically and was a godsend to those students and the entire process. In addition to providing excellent vocal and acting coaching to these three young performers, Emily was also a brilliant example of the resiliency of a working professional. In a remarkably short time, the students who worked with Emily grew tremendously in their ability to dynamically deliver show stopping performances, they strengthened their skills in analysing composition, lyric, and circumstance and, perhaps most importantly, they learned how to persevere.
I have now had the opportunity to see Emily work with my students in person and remotely, and I can attest that, in whatever form Emily is connecting with students, the experience is rich, inspiring and joyful. Emily has an amazing impact on student's work, their thoughts about themselves, and how to navigate this challenging industry. I cherish Emily as a colleague and am grateful for the kind of energy she puts into her own work and the work of those who are just starting their journey.”

When I met Emily, I had been performing for years. I was good, sure, but I wasn’t where I wanted to be and I had no idea how to get there. I had gone stagnant. Emily gave me back my confidence in myself. Together we broke down every habit I had and slowly built them back up to something better. Before I knew it, I felt like a brand new actress. Thanks to her, I gave the best performance I’ve had in years- both in my mind and the minds of my friends and family!
She’s also been so patient and compassionate when working with my neurodivergence. I’ve never once felt uncomfortable expressing my needs or my boundaries- something that can be so hard when it comes to theater teachers. She worked individually with me for as long as I needed to help me channel my emotions into my performance in a way I’ve never managed before. I’ve always struggled in the theater community as a young woman with autism. Emily not only accepted me as I am, but worked hard to find new ways to help me learn. She truly is a wonderful actress, mentor, and friend, and I’m so lucky to have met her.
